The Computational Square-Root Exponent

چکیده
In this paper, we revisit the Computational Square-Root Exponent Problem (CSREP), and give a more generic condition such that CSREP is polynomial-time equivalent to the Computational DiffieHellman Problem (CDHP) in the group with prime order. The results obtained in this paper contain Zhang et al.’s results at IWCC2011. We also analyze the existence of such condition. Although primes satisfying such condition are rare (compare to all primes), it can be regarded as an evidence that CSREP may be equivalent to CDHP.

Stability of two classes of improved backward Euler methods for stochastic delay differential equations of neutral type
This paper examines stability analysis of two classes of improved backward Euler methods, namely split-step $(theta, lambda)$-backward Euler (SSBE) and semi-implicit $(theta,lambda)$-Euler (SIE) methods, for nonlinear neutral stochastic delay differential equations (NSDDEs). It is proved that the SSBE method with $theta, lambdain(0,1]$ can recover the exponential mean-square stability with some...
متن کاملCOMPUTATIONAL RESULTS ON FINITE P-GROUPS OF EXPONENT P2
The Fibonacci lengths of the finite p-groups have been studied by R. Dikici and co-authors since 1992. All of the considered groups are of exponent p, and the lengths depend on the celebrated Wall number k(p). The study of p-groups of nilpotency class 3 and exponent p has been done in 2004 by R. Dikici as well. In this paper we study all of the p-groups of nilpotency class 3 and exponent p2. Th...
متن کاملA ug 2 00 1 Proof of the Conjecture that the Planar Self - Avoiding Walk has Root Mean Square Displacement Exponent 3 / 4
This paper proves the long-standing open conjecture rooted in chemical physics (Flory (1949) [3]) that the self-avoiding walk (SAW) in the square lattice has root mean square displacement exponent ν = 3/4. This value is an instance of the formula ν = 1 on Z and ν = max(1/2, 1/4+1/d) in Z for dimensions d ≥ 2, which will be proved in a subsequent paper. This expression differs from the one that ...
متن کاملPrediction of accurate pKa values of some α-substituted carboxylic acids with low cost of computational methods
The acidity constants (pKa) of thirty four (34) ;-substituted carboxylic acids in aqueous solution havebeen calculated using conductor-like polarizable continuum (C-PCM) solvation model. The gasphaseenergies at the Density Functional Theory (DFT-MPW1PW91) and solvation energies atHartree Fock (HF) are combined to estimate the pKa values which are very close to the experimentalvalues where, and ...

This paper proves the long-standing open conjecture rooted in chemical physics (Flory (1949) [3]) that the self-avoiding walk (SAW) in the square lattice has root mean square displacement exponent 3/4. We consider (a) the point process of selfintersections defined via certain paths of the symmetric simple random walk in Z and (b) a “weakly self-avoiding cone process” relative to this point proc...
